DIY Brightening & Hydrating Face Mask

Along with regular salon clean-ups and facials, it is great and really beneficial to indulge in weekly natural masks or scrubs sessions at home. And the best thing is all these ingredients are easily available in the kitchen and take no effort to prepare.

This Smoothing and Brightening Face Mask is made up of oatmeal, banana, almonds and honey. It is great for people with acne-prone or sensitive and dry skin. However, it is a great nourishing and exfoliating mask for all other skin types.

Benefits:
  • Oatmeal is great for sensitive and dry skin. Oatmeal contains certain compounds which reduces redness and inflammation. It is also a very gentle exfoliator and cleanser for people especially with sensitive skin. Though all other skin types can benefit the same from oatmeal and use it to get rid of dead skin.
  • Banana is one perfect ingredient you need for every face mask. It is rich in antioxidants and vitamins. It is found out to be great for acne, wrinkles and dull-looking skin. It is moisturising and reduces dark spots. 
  • Almonds are hydrating and rich in Vitamin E which is a great antioxidant.
  • Honey is anti-bacterial and antioxidants rich. It is great for people with acne or acne scars. Its soothing and moisturising property gives the skin a very healthy glow. It a good pore cleanser too. 
Tip: You can also add in a tbsp. of coconut or olive oil for extra moisturizing effect.

  • 2 tbsp. Oatmeal
  • Half ripe Banana
  • 4-5 Almonds
  • 1 tbsp. Honey
